Enjoy your breakfast in your hotel. Your guide will pick you up at the hotel and you will drive in a minibus to Ras Mohammed in about 20 minutes. This national park is located on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula. You can already look forward to snorkeling in Egypt’s most beautiful reef during the trip. The numerous corals and fish as well as the stunning colors of the underwater world will enchant you! After this spectacular morning we will serve you a picnic on the beach.<\/span><\/p>\n

The area around Ras Mohammed is also known for its mangrove forests. These are usually found in central Africa and are the only trees that grow in and with salt water.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today is a great highlight of this travel program: You climb Mount Moses in the dark of the early morning hours. It is the Holy Mountain where Moses received the Ten Commandments from God for the children of Israel.<\/span><\/p>\n

At midnight we start from the hotel. In about 2.5 hours you drive to St. Katharina, the place at the foot of Mount Moses. A Bedouin mountain guide accompanies you during the 2-hour ascent under the starry sky to 2285 meters above sea level. Once at the top, you will be rewarded for your efforts with a contemplative experience: the breathtaking sunrise. <\/span><\/p>\n

After the hike back to St. Catherine, you can look forward to a delicious breakfast in a local restaurant. Around 9:00 am we will visit St. Catherine’s Monastery, located at 1585 meters above sea level. It is one of the most famous monasteries in the world and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002.
