Arrival at Sharm el Sheikh airport. Warm welcome from our German-speaking travel companion. You will drive in a private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Nuweiba. Today a relaxing day awaits you in the hotel. Let yourself be pampered by the beautiful beach and the clear, turquoise water. Depending on your mood, you can relax with a yoga lesson on the Red Sea, by the pool or with a good book on the sandy beach.<\/span><\/p>\n

The water in this place on the Gulf of Aqaba on the Red Sea is the same as the landscape and the locals: very calm, friendly and relaxed. It is a paradise for swimming, snorkeling or, of course, diving.<\/span><\/p>\n

After a nice breakfast at the hotel, your guide will pick you up for today’s excursion. You drive to the White Canyon, about 40 km southeast of Nuweiba. White Canyon owes its name to the abundance of white<\/span> sand and white<\/span> rocks. Feel the soft sand under your feet until you reach the canyon and the Ain Khudra oasis. Do you like little adventures? Then you can take a camel ride here.<\/span><\/p>\n

The desert tour continues to the Rock of the Inscriptions, where you can examine ancient Byzantine writings on the rocks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another highlight of this travel program is today: You climb Mount Moses in the dark of the early morning hours. It is the Holy Mountain where Moses received the Ten Commandments from God.<\/span><\/p>\n

At 1:00 a.m., we start from the hotel. You drive in about 1.5 hours to St. Katharina, the place at the foot of Mount Moses. A Bedouin mountain guide accompanies you during the 2-hour ascent under the starry sky to 2285 meters above sea level. Once at the top, you will be rewarded for your efforts with a contemplative experience: the breathtaking sunrise. <\/span><\/p>\n

After the hike back to St. Catherine you can look forward to a delicious breakfast in a local restaurant. Around 9.00 am we will visit St. Catherine’s Monastery, located at 1585 meters above sea level. It is one of the most famous monasteries in the world and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002. According to legend, the burning bush, where God revealed himself to Moses, was located here.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the way back to the hotel you will experience and photograph the beautiful mountains and landscapes of the Sinai.<\/span><\/p>\n

People who do not want to climb the Mosesberg drive directly to St. Catherine’s Monastery at around 7.30 a.m.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
