Important Information on Travel Preparation
Please send us a copy of the inside pages of your passport no later than 16 days before departure. Please be aware of the applicable passport and visa requirements. To enter Egypt, for example, you’ll need a valid passport that remains valid for at least 6 months after your arrival. The Egyptian visa for travelers from Switzerland is valid for one month and can be purchased for 25 SFr. upon arrival at the airport.
Please let us know about any special requests before your arrival (e.g., special meals due to diabetes, allergies, a vegan diet, etc.).
Information on Prices
- Prices in Swiss francs (SFr.) per person
- Surcharge for solo travelers.
- Lower prices during the off-season (May–September) and for group tours.
- Exclusion dates: Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Easter.
Rules for Children Traveling with You:
- Babies up to 2 years old: pay only for the flight and a processing fee of approximately SFr. 200.- 300.-
- Ages 2–6: Pay only for the flight and a processing fee of approximately SFr. 600.- 700.-
- Ages 6–11: 25% less.
- Ages 11 and up: full tour price.
These provisions apply to children traveling with their parents who share a room with them (maximum of 1 child per parents’ room).
If your sightseeing tour includes domestic flights, an additional payment for the child is required.
Information About Accommodations
- Hotel categories are national categories as defined by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism.
- Check-in at approximately 2:00 p.m.
- Check out at approximately 12:00 p.m.
- Cabin assignments are made upon boarding.
- Accommodations at another, comparable hotel in exceptional cases.
Information About the Itinerary
- The itinerary for the Nile cruise may vary depending on water levels, but visits to all of the listed attractions are guaranteed.
- In exceptional cases, the tour guide may change the order of the sightseeing stops.
- The comfortable sleeper trains in Egypt are regularly inspected for safety and maintained.
- The trip from Cairo to Luxor takes about 11 hours, and from Aswan to Cairo, about 14 hours.
- Tips are not included in the tour price. However, you are not obligated to pay these additional expenses while on the trip.
