We designed this Egypt tour especially for people who are dependent on a wheelchair in their everyday life due to a physical handicap. We will guide you to the most important historical places and sites of Egyptian history. Travel barrier-free from Cairo via Luxor to Aswan. Let yourself be drawn into the spell of the pyramids and experience the pulsating energy of the cities and the hospitality of the locals. On the last stage you will get to know the country by water: you will sail the Nile on a sailing ship from Luxor to Aswan.
Our experts on Egyptian history from the Universities of Cairo and Alexandria will accompany you on all archaeological expeditions.

Travel program in detail
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Arrival at the international airport in Cairo. Our German-speaking travel companion welcomes you. Transfer to your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. Our travel companion will help you check in and explain the travel program. The rest of the day can be used as freetime.
Day 2: Giza Pyramids, Egyptian Museum and Old Cairo excursion
After breakfast at the hotel, get ready for the drive to the Egyptian Museum. The museum shows over 120,000 pieces of pharaonic monuments as well as the fascinating collection of Tutankhamun. After the museum visit you will drive to the pyramids of Giza with an experienced German speaking Egyptologist. Admire Cheops, Khafre and Mykerinos up close. Then enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. Return to the hotel.
Day 3: Flight to Luxor and visit of Thebes East.
Breakfast in the hotel. Today there is a domestic flight to Luxor. We will accompany you to the airport in Cairo. In Luxor, our German speaking tour guide will meet you at the airport and drive you directly to the Nile ship where he will assist you with embarkation. Lunch on board follows. Then go on the traces of ancient Egypt in Thebes East: a visit to the temples of Karnak and Luxor is on the program.

Day 4: Ancient Egypt in West Thebes
Enjoy your pick-me-up breakfast on board and then set off towards Theben West. Thebes West – like Thebes East – offers some very spectacular sights of ancient Egypt. You will be fascinated by the Valley of the Kings, the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon – the two colossal ancient Egyptian statues from the 14th century BC standing next to each other. Then return to the ship and ride on the ship to Edfu. Meanwhile lunch on board. This afternoon you can relax on the ship. Dinner on board as the ship crosses Esna Lock.
Day 5: Temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo
You have breakfast on board. Then get ready for the excursion to the legendary Horus Temple in Edfu. Horus is considered in the mythology of ancient Egypt as the god of heaven, worlds and light. Back on the ship, you will continue on the Nile, passing the sugar cane plantations before Kom Ombo. On another excursion you will explore the double temple of Kom Ombo. This temple was dedicated to the two gods Haroeris and Sobek and is thus today called the “double temple”.
In the evening the journey continues towards the historic trading city of Aswan. Dinner on board.
Day 6: Tour around Aswan
You will enjoy breakfast on board with the calm lapping of the waves. Afterwards you will visit a monumental structure from the present: the dam of Lake Nasser. You will experience a contrast change afterwards when visiting a Nubian village. Nubian villages are characterized by very colorful houses and are known to be small and quiet.
You spend the afternoon on board, where you can relax by the pool or on the sundeck. Dinner and overnight on the banks of Aswan.
Day 7: Disembarkation and flight back to Cairo
After a leisurely breakfast on board, our tour guide will help you disembark. We will drive you to Aswan airport for your flight back to Cairo. In Cairo, our local travel guide will be waiting for you and will take you to the hotel.
Day 8: journey home
On this last morning in Egypt you will enjoy another breakfast in the hotel. According to your flight schedule, we will drive you to the airport in Cairo, where our tour guide will assist you with the exit formalities. Flight back home.
