8-Day Egypt Tour with a Nile Cruise Departing from Aswan

After breakfast, you’ll visit the world-famous Pyramids of Giza, the enigmatic Sphinx, and the Valley Temple with your private Egyptologist—the true highlight of any classic tour of Egypt. After lunch at an authentic restaurant, you’ll continue on to the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum, just a few minutes from the Pyramid Plateau, where you’ll marvel at, among other things, Tutankhamun’s complete burial treasure.

Early in the morning, transfer to the airport and flight to Aswan, where you will once again be met by a tour guide and escorted to board your comfortable 5-star Nile cruise.
Later that same day, you’ll visit the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis and picturesquely situated on an island in the Nile, as well as the famous unfinished obelisk in the ancient quarry—a fascinating glimpse into the techniques of ancient Egyptian stonemasons.

Breakfast on board during the trip to Kom Ombo. There, you’ll visit the unique double temple, which is dedicated equally to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. After lunch on board, the journey continues to Edfu, where you’ll travel in style by horse-drawn carriage to the magnificent Temple of Horus —one of the best-preserved temples in all of Egypt.
During the peaceful cruise along the Nile, you’ll experience the rural life of Upper Egypt with its fields, date palms, and traditional villages—a scene straight out of another era.

After breakfast, you’ll explore the fascinating monuments on the west bank of Luxor:

• The Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of the pharaohs
• The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut

  Afterward, return to the ship. Treat yourself to a relaxing break in the hot tub or with a cup of tea on the sun deck.

After breakfast, your Nile cruise comes to an end with one final highlight: a visit to the impressive temple complex at Karnak, the largest religious structure of antiquity, as well as the nearby Luxor Temple.
You will then be transferred to Luxor Airport for your return flight to Cairo.

After lunch, the tour continues to Dahshur, where you’ll visit the famous Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, two of Egypt’s best-preserved pyramids outside of Giza.
